I’m a recent Floridian living in Oklahoma, feeling landlocked and extremely dried out. A native of nowhere, I was born in Texas and raised in Michigan (both in the mitten and the Upper Peninsula – K.I. Sawyer, anyone?), northern Italy, and the outskirts of Washington, D.C.
In trying to find a connection with the rest of this world, I seek out comfort in stories, places, books, culture, photographs, traditions, and history. I have a wide range of interests and would probably do very well on Jeopardy!
I grew up in the military and moved around quite a bit as a kid. Along the way, I acquired a love for road trips, history, and local museums, a paralyzing fear of flying, a Midwestern accent, a deep appreciation of different cultures, a desire to see and photograph more of our country’s breathtaking scenery, a fierce devotion to the Green Bay Packers, and an expansive collection of postcards from around the world. After living in so many places, I’ve come to realize that I have something in common with almost everyone I meet.
Now I am a full-time mother, wife, and Liberal Arts student at the University of Oklahoma.
